Job opportunity: Medior Back-End Developer
Vacancy: 32 - 40 hours

As a Medior Back-End Developer you will be responsible for building modern APIs, integrating AI models and integrations in a microservices architecture using Python and PostgreSQL. You will be building reusable, testable components and libraries for future use and make sure that your work is robust, testable and easy to maintain. You will be managing development cycles, maintaining our platform, and keeping customer data secure. You will be integrating with various components in the platform and release the solutions you made to production with the help of your team members.

Requirements & qualifications:

  • BSc or MSc in Computer Science or similar.
  • Proficiency in Python and PostgreSQL.
  • Experienced with implementing microservices.
  • Experience with test automation: unit/integration/functional testing
  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as OAuth and JSON Web Tokens.
  • Familiarity with modern build pipelines and tools.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the development team and the wider group of stakeholders.
  • Create, extend and maintain architecture, database schemes, APIs and integrations with various systems in the platform.
  • Creating automated tests for your code.
  • Write and keep up to date API documentation
  • Improve and maintain code quality within the team (e.g., code reviews, linting, etc).
  • Building reusable components and libraries for future use.
  • Good in English and preferably in Dutch.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in an agile environment.
  • GIS and GEO knowledge.
  • Familiarity with AWS, FaaS and Docker.
